Pray and Vote
WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 5 June 2009

What are you going to do in this general election? You could stand back and watch all that is happening and despair at the terrible state of our nation and its leaders. That would be the easy way out. Maybe. Or you could, as responsible Christians, bring change in our nation by praying for the nation and for the forthcoming elections.

Micah Challenge invites you to join us as we pray for God to bring into power a government of His choice. A government that will be just and fair and one that will look into the needs of the poorest and the most marginalised. A government that will truly represent the people and one which will not exist for the benefit of those in office but for the benefit of those whom they represent.

But who will bring the people of God's choice to power??? That is our responsibility!! Being a citizen of this country it our Right and Responsibility to Vote. Remember that your vote counts. If we do not take part in putting in power a government that will be just then we are not using the most powerful tool that we have.

MDG 7 - Ensure Environmental Stability

Micah Challenge India calls on Christians in India to take up our responsibility as stewards of God's creation. 5 June is World Environment Day. Coinciding with that we call on Christians to observe 7 June as Eco-Sunday, a day dedicated to thanking God for His awesome gift in creation and a day of reflecting on how we have damaged creation. Climate change is an effect of the damage that we have done to God's creation. Can we do something about it, should we do something about it? How can we as Christians respond?
