Micah Challenge India is part of the global Micah Challenge Campaign
an initiative of the Micah Network and the world Evangelical Alliance.
The campaign aims to deepen Christian engagement with the poor and
the marginalized and to influence leaders of rich and poor nations
to fulfill their promise to achieve the Millennium Development Goals
and so halve poverty by 2015.
A consultation was held at Pune on May 29 – June 1, 2004
to introduce Micah Challenge Campaign and to discuss on the launch.
About 56 people from India, Nepal and Sri Lanka representing 36
churches, networks and organizations participated in it.
